North Carolina Shelter Asks 'Teen Mom 2' Fans to Stop Bombarding Them With Calls About Jenelle Evans

Ex Teen Mom 2 star David Eason made perhaps his most controversial move ever this past April, and fans of the MTV show took notice.
Jenelle Evans' husband shot and killed her dog, Nugget, and defended doing so by claiming she tried to bite their two-year-old daughter, Ensley. Promptly, Jenelle got fired from the reality series, and the couple eventually lost custody of their kids. People are not taking this heinous act lightly, and even fans have gotten involved to try and take action. But apparently, it's a little too much.
The animal shelter is reeling after receiving thousands of calls from Teen Mom 2 fans, following allegations that David Eason, husband of the show’s former star Jenelle Evans, reportedly shot and killed their family dog, Nugget. https://t.co/k3ajUekTWh

According to The Ashley, the Columbus County Animal Shelter in North Carolina is now asking people to please stop ringing them off the hook over Jenelle and David. The organization spoke with WECT6 News, explaining:
"Our answering machine in the morning is nothing but the teen dog incident. Once we clear them off and more get back on and then we get complaints from the county that we can’t get their calls in because we’re trying to clear out all the calls from this Teen Mom incident."
Apparently, the shelter has received between 5,000 and 7,000 calls about the controversial couple since Nugget was killed.
The director of the shelter, Loretta Shipman, explained that they sadly cannot do anything about the incident, saying, "We have been getting calls from day one and still calls every single day. And we still advise them that we are not in the process of handling that because a dog has supposedly been killed. Once the dog is killed, it’s no longer the department of Columbus County Animal Shelter, it becomes the department of the sheriff’s department to investigate."
According to another spokesperson for the sheriff's office, as WECT6 reports, no charges have been filed against David.
