During Disney’s D23 Expo, Lucasfilm revealed shocking footage from the upcoming film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, in which Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) is shown donning a black, hooded cloak and a dual-sided red lightsaber.

Fans have been clamoring since the reveal, wondering if we are going to lose Rey to the Dark Side of the Force when the final film in the Skywalker Saga concludes. Luckily, however, Ridley might've just unknowingly confirmed it won't happen, when promising that the movie won't be as controversial as Game of Thrones' final season.

Winter is Coming reports that the 27-year-old actor stopped to talk to MTV News after the expo and was asked if the ending of The Rise of Skywalker would be more or less troubling than the last season of Game of Thrones. Though Ridley admitted she has only seen four seasons of the show, she said she knows how it ends, and that she thinks "this ending will be less controversial."

Though Daisy was trying to answer the question without giving anything away (like most Star Wars peeps do), she actually said quite a mouthful in this one response. And now we have more to speculate!

As you likely know, Season 8 of GoT was met with extreme criticism when showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss decided to (quickly) turn the main protagonist, Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke), into the major villain. Essentially, Dany descends into the Thrones equivalent of the Dark Side.

Though there is still always a chance of a surprise ending for the Star Wars trilogy, I think we all know that in this franchise, the good guys win.
