We wouldn't be surprised if Amanda Seyfried was feeling some regret over passing up this role.

The 33-year-old Mamma Mia! star stopped by MTV International this week with Milo Ventimiglia to promote their new film, The Art of Racing in the Rain. In the interview, the actors are asked if they would be up for taking on the role of a superhero, and Seyfried gave an interesting response. She said:

“I turned down [a superhero movie] once and they haven’t called back since. And it was a big’un. I don’t regret it because I didn’t want to be green for six months out of every year. They tell beautiful stories through superheroes, and my daughter’s now really obsessed with superheroes now, and part of me wishes I’d done it, but the other part of me is like ‘I had a life to live’ and I don’t think I would’ve been happy.”

As CBR reports, there are very few green female leads in superhero films, making the mystery role most likely that of Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy. The role eventually when to Zoe Saldana, who was a seasoned vet of full body makeup already having played Neytiri in James Cameron’s Avatar.

Though Seyfried passed up one hell of an opportunity, maybe she will still be a superhero one day in the future.
