Watch 'Jeopardy!' Contestants Fail to Identify Tom Holland as Spider-Man

Considering the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: Far From Home just debuted in theaters today, it shouldn’t be too much to ask the average person if they knew the actor’s name behind the current Peter Parker...especially because he’s been playing the Queens-based superhero since 2016. But we guess you don’t need to know too much about pop culture to land a spot on Jeopardy!
This week, as a clip uploaded to Twitter shows, Jeopardy! contestants were stumped when asked by Alex Trebek to name the actor, and to make matters worse, the question was even accompanied by a video of Tom Holland as Spider-Man. Two players made their guesses: Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, the previous actors to take on the character, who are both more than 10 years older than Holland.
Garfield, 35, starred as Peter Parker in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), before the character was brought into the MCU. For 44-year-old Maguire’s part, many will remember his iconic portrayal of the superhero in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Spider-Man 3 (2007). While some people still have attachment to Maguire in the role, Holland, 23, has since been hailed by many as the best Spider-Man portrayal to date.
