Being an actor who is friends with other actors in huge film franchises can be an occupational hazard, especially when your pal is Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker star Daisy Ridley.

Josh Gad felt the pains of this reality recently when his Murder on the Orient Express co-star allowed him to come to the set of the final installment of the Skywalker Saga after getting director J.J. Abrams' approval. The Frozen 2 star, who is a self-proclaimed sci-fi fan, recounted the experience of seeing the production of the film to Conan O’Brien on his talk show in the video below.

He first explains how he was so happy for the opportunity to get to see a real-life Star Wars movie be shot. “I’m so excited to see, you know, like them getting onto the Millennium Falcon or just something crazy,” Gad stated. “And I get there and Ian McDiarmid is in his Palpatine outfit. This next part is going to be a spoiler alert for those of you who’ve not seen Star Wars...So, I’m there and the first dialogue that comes out of his mouth is, ‘You are my granddaughter.'”

Needless to say, Gad was not happy about the huge spoiler. “I was f**king pissed,” he announces, and after a long pause, compares the twist to that in The Sixth Sense. He jokes, “That’s like, I’m M. Night Shyamalan, come to my set. Oh guess what? This is Bruce Willis. ‘Hey, I’m Bruce Willis. I just have to shoot my scene.’ ‘I’m a ghost.’”

What a way to find out about Rey's parentage. I guess Gad now really understands the expression, "Straight from the horse's mouth."
