Just when we thought the whole "Kimono" disaster was gone and forgotten, the most recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians aired and now everyone is pissed off all over again. This past episode showed the behind-the-scenes chaos of Kim's rebranding of her shapewear line and fans aren't buying it.

In one scene, Kim speaks to Scott Disick and tells him that she is being accused of cultural appropriation. She adds that the name "Kimono" has been printed on thousands of garments and that the company would take a huge loss if they rebranded, guessing it would cost about $10 million.

Kim then shared that it wasn't until she got a letter from the mayor of Kyoto that she saw things from another angle and officially decided to rebrand the line.

But what people are questioning is Kim's line of defense. She said that her publicist and team knew about the name, as well as all of her retailers, and no one said anything, thus pleading her case that they were totally clueless and innocent of offending anyone. The Twitter speculation is saying this is might be fake, with some even saying the whole thing was a publicity stunt.

Others are pointing out that if a brand name has to go through this many people, then Kim's team must be afraid of her. Why was no one brave enough to speak up?

The Kardashians are experts at keeping public attention on them, and there's nothing like a good scandal to get people talking. Could it be that Kim's team was afraid to speak up? Was it all a lie to build up hype? Or were they all really that clueless? All we know is that the new name SKIMS is much, much better.
