If you haven't tuned in to the new podcast, Office Ladies, do yourself a service and get on it pronto. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey (a.k.a. Pam Beesly and Angela Martin) from The Office have a weekly podcast where they explain each episode in chronological order, starting with the pilot.

It's such a fun podcast and for any fans of the show, you'll become even more obsessed with it than you were before.

On the most recent podcast, Jenna and Angela went over the episode "Basketball," where Michael challenges the warehouse staff to a basketball game against the sales team upstairs. While explaining the backstories, according to Entertainment Weekly, Jenna shared that she wrote out a backstory for Pam so she could get into the character. And when trying to imagine why Pam and Roy had such a long engagement, she came up with an idea.

Jenna decided that Pam and Roy were saving money for their wedding, but then Roy spontaneously went and spent their savings without consulting his fiancé. “So he and his brother bought these pair of waverunners with their wedding money, but Roy was like, ‘We’re going to have so much fun with these!’ So it broke Pam’s heart,” the actress said on the podcast.

If fans have been re-watching The Office, they'll remember that during Season 1, Pam tells Jim that she might be spending the weekend on the lake with Roy, riding waverunners. Now it all makes sense!
