Madison Prewett has taken huge strides ahead of the other ladies on The Bachelor, but her social media game is clearly lacking. Cosmopolitan reports that the 23-year-old contestant, who recently shared the first one-one-one date of the season with Peter Weber, had a serious fumble on Instagram this week when she commented on one of her own photos as if she were a fan, writing, “Beautiful date Madi. You are so genuine and real.”

Awkward.

Fan accounts caught the mistake before it was deleted, and did not hold back on the shade. @BachSleuthers on Instagram posted the mishap with the caption, “We, too, believe we are genuine and real. Happy to provide tutorials on toggling between your personal and fan accounts.”

Things got even more cringe-worthy when a friend of the contestant took the blame for the oversight, writing, “Oops. Thought I wrote that comment about being real & genuine from my account but was logged into Madi's from when she got back from filming. Don't hate me @madiprew.” The always-sweet (so far) Madi replied, “hahahaha you're good. It happens love youuuu.”

But, does it happen? Not really. We will see if the blunder is a sign of things to come for the Alabama-native on The Bachelor, airing Mondays on ABC.
