Spider-Man’s future has been unclear since the deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios dissolved last month, taking the character out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And though fans have been really upset about the news, even calling to boycott Sony, it seems that the studio is taking the challenge head-on.

ScreenRant reports that Sony Pictures chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerra sat down with Variety this week and explained that they already have big plans for the beloved superhero. Vinciquerra revealed that they already have “five or six” TV series planned for the web-slinger and his world.

Of the dissolved deal, Vinciquerra claimed there are no hard feelings between the studios, saying:

“We had a great run with [Kevin Feige] on Spider-Man movies. We tried to see if there’s a way to work it out….the Marvel people are terrific people, we have great respect for them, but on the other hand we have some pretty terrific people of our own. Kevin didn’t do all the work.”

But even if there are no hard feelings between Sony and Marvel, there's definitely still bitterness in the fandom. If Vinciquerra and his crew don’t win fans over with these upcoming projects, they might have quite a few online protests to deal with…again.
