The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been shaken up since Sony's decision to leave their partnership with Disney, thus sadly taking Spider-Man with them.

Things are getting interesting, however, as it's been reported by Screen Rant that Tom Holland actually filmed a cameo for Sony's Venom, but the scene was later removed upon request by Marvel Studios.

While fans at the time were going crazy with theories as to how Peter Parker and Eddie Brock could ever appear in a film together, Disney and Sony's split might just make it all possible. Though we're all heartbroken over Spider-Man leaving the MCU, he now could potentially have a significant role in Venom 2, which doesn't appear to have started filming yet. 2018's Venom certainly performed well at the box office, but it is undeniable that Holland making an appearance in the sequel would be a total crowd pleaser.

Fans of both franchises are very excited at the possibility of seeing Tom Hardy and Holland on the same screen. As of now nothing is confirmed, but is highly rumored following the big fallout.
