Tom Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been praised by comic book fans and creators alike, even getting the highest stamp of approval from Stan Lee himself. But it looks like things are changing quickly for the Sony-owned character, as he reportedly will no longer appear in MCU films. This seemingly puts his place in the role in jeopardy as well.

The Wrap reports today that Disney and Sony were unable to reach a deal after going through financial disputes, leading to their collaboration reaching an end. Their latest film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, blew expectations of the water, hitting a billion dollars at the box office, and becoming the first film in the franchise to do so.

Deadline is reporting that Holland may still appear as the Queens native, as sources tell them that the actor, along with director Jon Watts, are slated for two more films.

While details are still coming out about Sony and Disney's fallout, we'll be keeping a close eye on what's being reported, and the validity behind the information.
