Marvel Fan Hilariously Tried to Use a Thor Fake ID to Buy Weed

Yeah, you read that right: a committed Marvel fan legitimately tried to use a fake ID of Thor. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work. We are getting a few laughs out of the attempt, though.

ComicBook.com reports that someone in Canada allegedly tried to purchase marijuana from an online dispensary using an ID that, well, looks a little too familiar. Twitter user @cottoncandaddy posted a picture of the ID, sharing that her sister was the dispensary worker to discover the fake.

The ID shows a picture of a young, confident, long-haired Thor from what looks to be the first film. Someone really put their creativity into the card, as the name hilariously reads “Thor Thunder ODINSON” and the address is “69 Big Hammer Lane.”

And to make matters even worse for the person who tried to use the ID, they must not have thought of one teeny, tiny little detail: to check the expiration date, which is May 22, 2017.

While we all got a good laugh out of this ID attempt, we wouldn’t recommend it. No matter who plays Thor next, everyone knows the face of Chris Hemsworth.
