Mark Hamill Says Darth Vader is Better Than Donald Trump and Dick Cheney
By Kwadar Ray

Mark Hamill enjoys standing up against those he believes are evil, whether it be on or off-screen.
Hamill's Star Wars character, Luke Skywalker, vigorously battled Darth Vader, one the most villainous characters in the history of cinema. However, despite how evil Vader was, Hamill thinks there's two individuals with worse intentions: President Donald Trump and former Vice President Dick Cheney.
In a recent interview with The Washington Post's Cape Up With Jonathan Capehart podcast, Hamill stated it was unfair to the Sith Lord to be compared to the two powerful politicians.
"I really get upset when people compare [Trump], or even Dick Cheney, to Darth Vader because Darth Vader repented," Hamill stated. "He saw the error of his ways. I don't see either one of them doing that."
While many politicians are relatively disliked, Trump and Cheney have historically low approval ratings. Nevertheless, some fans believe Hamill should stick to talking entertainment rather than politics.
Who cares what Hollywood thinks. They don’t matter. We pay them to entertain us. That’s all.

However, plenty of fans share Hamill's sentiment.
Vader also had a plan to replace the government he destroyed. I don’t think this dude has that kind of foresight

Hamill's statements come as no shock, as he has called out Trump for his tweets and policy making on a near daily basis. And regardless if people want him to stop, he's not going to anytime soon.
Not a word of regret or sympathy, just blame. Sickening. People complaining about my political tweets need to understand: I love my country & feel it's my patriotic duty to oppose this demented sociopath with every fibre of my being. #TrumpResignNOW https://t.co/TVHP09tSPA

While it's understandable some would like the actor to shy away from politics, the argument that what he says is irrelevant because "he's just a celebrity" is a pretty bad one, considering this country elected a reality TV star as president.
