Mark Consuelos Weighs in on 'Riverdale' Co-Stars Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse's Split
By Ryan Carroll

Despite the disparity in their age, the cast of Riverdale is a tight-knit bunch, being there for one another both for emotional support and for more lighthearted moments. Every cast has limits to their closeness, however--as demonstrated by star Mark Consuelos, who just revealed he was largely in the dark about co-stars’ Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse’s breakup.
When asked about the split during an interview with Andy Cohen on his Sirius XM show (via Us Weekly), Consuelos replied, “Is that true?” Subsequently, he added, “You know, I’ve been gone from Vancouver for about 10 days, so I have no idea what’s going on over there.”
This comment follows reports earlier this week saying Sprouse and Reinhart had called it quits--later corroborated after Sprouse reportedly told someone at San Diego Comic-Con that they had broken up.
Consuelos also remarked that the news of their breakup was “surprising,” adding that “I just kind of always knew that they were together. When I joined the show it was already a thing. I came on second season so I don’t know what happened the first season.”

Consuelos then joked that he would often prepare to advise Sprouse and Reinhart against dating co-stars, but then pull back after recalling that he met and married his wife, Kelly Ripa, while both starred on All My Children.
While we would love some more information on why our favorite Riverdale couple called it quits, we understand their need for privacy.
