The tragic passing of former teen star and Riverdale actor Luke Perry shook Hollywood deeply. In wake of his passing, Perry's onscreen son KJ Apa opened up about the impact Perry had during their time on the show together.

"Luke is the kind of person who did everything he can to make whoever you are—no matter how big or how small—feel comfortable and feel welcome," Apa told Jimmy Fallon on his appearance on The Tonight Show. "It's hard to put into words how that makes me feel."

Apa went on to discuss the close father-son relationship the two had, saying, "He would call my parents every week and keep them updated on how I'm going. If I had a cold or something he would say, 'I took some Gatorade to his apartment the other day.'" He also added that Perry, "made such a huge effort from the beginning."

Apa went on to claim, "I wish I could be like that," with Fallon assuring him, "You can. You are like that."

Perry clearly left an impact on the young actor, the rest of the cast, and the audience of the show. He's missed already.
