Mackenzie McKee is Reportedly Joining Cast of 'Teen Mom OG': Here's Everything We Know

It's been rumored for some time now that Teen Mom 3 alum Mackenzie McKee would be joining the original gals in Teen Mom OG. Reports have claimed that the star had been filming with MTV--but now we have some clarity on what's going on. According to The Ashley, Mackenzie is joining Teen Mom OG, but will only be featured in a few episodes.

The publication reports that Mackenzie is set to replace Bristol Palin on the reality show, but is not a series regular just yet. Here's what a source says:

"Mackenzie has been filming for several months, but she is not going to be on the show until the last few episodes, most likely not until the third-to-last or so of the season. This has been kept totally on the down-low. Most of the producers and crew who weren’t working directly with Mackenzie didn’t even know it was happening."

Mackenzie is reportedly set to "guest star" for now, with her story focusing on her mom Angie Douthit, who is battling cancer. This is somewhat surprising, considering the 24-year-old star previously slammed MTV for allegedly rejecting her mom's story. In Sept. 2018, Mackenzie tweeted that the network did her "real dirty."

A source also told The Ashley that depending on how viewers react to her involvement, then perhaps Mackenzie will become a full cast member.

"Once they air the episodes with Mackenzie, they will analyze how viewers take to her and how well she fits in with the show," the insider spilled. "If she fits, they will make her an official cast member for ‘OG’ for the ‘B’ part of this season. At least, that’s what [the crew] has been told."

To my last baby? I am so in love with you and proud of everything you do each and every day. To the baby that came at the most unexpected and Non convenient time, and I regret daily panicking for 8 solid months instead of trusting That God chose me to be such an amazing little dudes mommy. To the boy who I can’t remember your entire first year because my PPD was so hi and out of control. The people I lost during that year, even my very own husband because I pushed him away. To my miracle baby who survived 2 holes in his heart. To the boy who loves on me daily and reminds me how special life is. To the boy who keeps people constantly on me telling me i need to let you grow up (i will never) since you have been born, my life went from pitch black rock bottom, to the top of the mountain. BRONCS YOU ARE SO SO SPECIAL. And I promise to give you an amazing life. You changed me? #sweetpost #nicumom #ppdsurviver #ppd #instalove #boymom #mybaby #family #youtube
