Mackenzie McKee, who starred on both 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom 3, shared devastating news this past June, when revealing her mother had been diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. The 23-year-old reality star, along with mom Angie Douthit, have decided to share the latter's story of perseverance and spread hope to those who are battling similar diseases.
Angie is now set to release a new book entitled God's Plan, in which she will detail her experience with Cancer, from the day she was diagnosed and through her courageous road to recovery.
The book is set to be “a moving account of one woman’s heroic journey to love harder, discover divine purpose, and inspire the masses.”
Fortunately, Angie was able to work with celebrity manager Gina Rodriguez to get her story out there and to print. She has also been working with celebrity ghostwriter Ardre Orie, who is the CEO of 13th and Joan Publishing, which the book is being produced by.
“At 13th & Joan Publishing, we vow to tell the stories of our souls. Angie’s story is an exception to the rule,” Ardre shared. “She has given a new face to the strength of a person fighting to persevere and a true testament to faith. Our goal with this project is to honor Angie’s life and her ability to teach us all about love. She’s an example of a walking miracle and the world must know her story.”
Mackenzie is also set to write the forward to the book, as she's explained:
“Our entire family has been on quite the journey. Through it all, we’ve learned that faith is the ultimate remedy. We’ve been walking in faith and documenting this miraculous journey. It is our prayer that by telling this story of love and faith and healing that everyone will be blessed and inspired!”
We have absolutely no doubt God's Plan will be extremely inspirational and heartfelt. We cannot wait to read it when it hits stands on Sept. 11, 2018!
