The United States might not have a Royal Family, but if we had a pop culture equivalent, it would be the Kardashian-Jenner gang. Which is why Kim Kardashian says she can understand what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going through with the tabloids.

E! News reports that Harry and Meghan recently made headlines for deciding to campaign against the harsh and often untrue criticism they have received in the media, particularly the headlines directed at Meghan. The two have filed separate lawsuits, Meghan against the Daily Mail for publishing a private letter she wrote to her father, and Harry against The Sun and Daily Mirror for allegedly hacking his phone.

On the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which followed the couple’s tour around South Africa with their son Archie, the Duke of Sussex stated he would "not be bullied into playing a game that killed" his mother, Princess Diana. The Princess died in a car crash in 1997 that was allegedly caused by her trying to get away from the paparazzi.

Kardashian, who is no stranger to being overwhelmed by the media, recently sat down for an interview on Australian TV show The Sunday Project. She stated of the royal couple:

"I don't think anyone can really understand what that's like except for them, but I think as I'm older and as I have kids and what I would want for them is just the safest place. I can definitely empathize with their need for having a secure, safe place and taking time for themselves and having privacy when they need it."

While we all love to follow our favorite reality stars, royals, and other celebs, I think we can agree that everyone deserves their privacy from time to time.
