It was AMC's Mad Men that shot Jon Hamm to fame, the hunky actor who managed to make a character like Don Draper likeable. Now that his days in an ad agency are behind him, Hamm wants to pursue new arenas for his acting, and apparently has had his sights set on Star Wars for some time.

Although Hamm's name has often been tossed around in conversation about castings for various superheroes, especially Batman, the 48-year-old actor would seemingly prefer to travel to a galaxy far, far away.

During an interview with BuzzFeed, as reported by ComicBook.com, Hamm spoke with Nick Offerman about their dream jobs. Hamm said: “There’ve been more Star Wars things with more people in them. Where’s my phone call? I’ve been a nerf-herder. I get the lingo.”

It seems Hamm will continue to have opportunities to join the Star Wars-verse, especially with the upcoming Disney+ live-action series coming out. Beyond that, Rian Johnson is developing a trilogy, as well as Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, which has been confirmed to be the next series in the movie docket. Disney has also revealed the release dates for three new Star Wars films, still unnamed, which will hit theaters in Dec. 2022 and appear every second year after that.

There are plenty of prospects for Hamm, so let's hope his dream comes true in the nearby future. We know he can slay in any role!
