And the plot thickens!

Since the episode “The Last of the Starks” aired on the final season of Game of Thrones, there has been an ongoing controversy between the cast and crew about who is to blame for leaving a coffee cup in one of the scenes. First, blame was placed on Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner, who then turned around and blamed Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen).

Recently, Clarke went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and revealed that Varys actor Conleth Hill admitted at an Emmys party (in true Master of Secrets fashion) that it was his fault, but that he didn’t want to say anything because all the heat was on her.

Now, The Guardian reports that Hill is denying Clarke’s story. The Dublin Murders star recently stated on Sunday Brunch that he would, “need to have had Mr. Man arms to leave a coffee cup there.” The 54-year-old also revealed that he is a little irked with his former castmate, saying, “I took a bullet for Emilia Clarke and she touted on me.” It sounds like he is more upset over this than when her character executed his!

Though the Irish actor denies the allegations, his conclusion to the conversation ended pretty suspiciously. He stated, “You know, there’s no proof that I did it. So accuse away!” adding, “I’m just not making any comments until I have a lawyer … It definitely wasn’t product placement!”

At this point, I’m not sure if we will ever know who is to blame for the coffee cup, unless it was Lady Olenna Tyrell and she wants Cersei to know it was her…again.
