For Teen Mom fans who have been following the franchise since the beginning, it is hard to believe that Farrah Abraham’s ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Derek Underwood, has been gone for 11 years. This week, Farrah and their daughter, Sophia, embarked on the yearly tradition to honor his passing by visiting his grave.

PopCulture.com report that the MTV star posted the video below of her and 10-year-old Sophia at Derek’s cemetery on his death day. Farrah explained that Sophia brought balloons to release, and the mother-daughter-duo was joined by Derek’s family.

The 28-year-old TV personality wrote a heartfelt caption for the video, posting:

“For 11 years I’ve been through a broken heart, depression, Bereavement , and keeping strong for Sophia who so deserves the world, I plan to share a full video on YouTube- in loving memory of Daddy Derek you have touched so many and are truly special, loved and never forgotten. Rain, Snow or Shine we love you…For the teen mom widows, children [who] never met their fathers, and moms against drunk driving and those who have lost those they loved thank you for sharing your stories over the years it’s meant the world.”

Many fans reciprocated the emotion back to Farrah and Sophia, extending condolences and thanks for sharing their journey. One user wrote:

“You know I really respect how you continue to honor Derek and are teaching Sophia to do the same. Just because your loved one has passed doesn’t mean you forget them. God bless you and your daughter for remembering and honoring your loved one. So many people don’t even go once to the cemetery after their loved one is placed there. Very sad.”

We hope Farrah and Sophia are getting through this difficult time with the support of family, friends, and fans.
