See Farrah Abraham's Birthday Tribute to Late Boyfriend Derek Underwood

Former Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham is taking time to pay tribute to a special person in her life who sadly passed away.

The 27-year-old reality star took to Instagram yesterday to wish a happy birthday to the late Derek Underwood, who was her boyfriend and the father of her 10-year-old daughter Sophia. Derek unfortunately died in a car accident in 2008, just one month before their child was born. He would've turned 29 on May 8.

"You gave me that once in a lifetime love of my life everyone so deserves, you gave me so many 1st’s, from virginity, proms, trips, my first ring, you showed me unconditional love, you showed me what relationships are, from prom, graduation, to our only child," Farrah wrote in a lengthy and emotional post, which also featured a series of photos of the pair.

To one very special person I celebrate and remember like no other-Happy Birthday Derek I love you, May 8th you would be 29 today, birthdays used to be so simple.You gave me that once in a lifetime love of my life everyone so deserves, you gave me so many 1st’s, from virginity, proms, trips, my first ring, you showed me unconditional love, you showed me what relationships are, from prom, graduation, to our only child...all the events that had happened the entire sequence was one filled with the thrill, love & loss. Now I share a birthday breakfast in your memory & all our best photos and your childhood photos with our daughter. I see all of your messages to me, & your written letters. The emotional post also included a sweet video of Sophia going through a photo album of her father's pictures.

Tons of fans flooded Farrah's comments section, with one writing, "This made me so emotional .... praying for everything," while another commented, "Thinking of you and Sophia today, beautiful. I can’t even imagine." A third added, "Love her or hate her, loss is painful. Especially when it results in being a single parent and your child growing up not knowing their parent."

We're thinking of Farrah and Sophia in this emotional time and hope they continue to support each other as the years go by.
