Disney has been keeping Angelina Jolie pretty busy these days. The 44-year-old actor recently finished filming Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the sequel to her 2014 film, Maleficent. It was also recently announced that she will be in Marvel Studios' upcoming film The Eternals, set to be released Nov. 2020.

There is one branch of Disney, however, that she still has her eyes on: a role is Star Wars.

ComicBook.com reports that Jolie stopped to talk to MTV News at the D23 Expo, and was asked why she hasn’t traded her Tomb Raider handguns for a lightsaber yet. She responded, “You know what, talk to J.J. I tried, I cornered J.J. in the hallway…I have said to him, ‘I have no idea why I can’t be in Star Wars.’”

Jolie is clearly laying the groundwork to travel to a galaxy far, far away, but she still hasn’t quite decided what side of the Force she would be on. When asked what she would cast herself as, she laughed and admitted, “I haven’t gotten that far.”

Though the conversation seemed like it was all in good fun, Jolie conveniently left out how Abrams had responded to her request.

Who knows, maybe Jolie will be the next butt-kicking Jedi in the franchise.
