VIDEO: Yris Palmer Explains How She Started Her Company Star Lash Extensions

You might know her from Kylie Jenner’s Instagram, but Yris Palmer is much more than just a BFF to the makeup mogul.

Who is Yris Palmer?

Palmer is the founder and CEO of Star Lash Extensions, a successful eyelash extension business located in Sherman Oaks, Irvine, and New York City.

Earlier this month, the 29-year-old mom sat down to film an episode for her YouTube Channel. In the 11-minute video above, she explains how she went from being a “lash dealer” to a thriving businesswoman. Palmer says that, after graduating high school, she wanted to pursue acting. Having worked since she was 15, she saved her money, quit her job, and decided to put all of her energy toward show business.

However, having always worked, Palmer was apprehensive about not having a steady income. She explained, “It’s scary to go without having a job, so in the midst of all that, I was like, ‘I need some sort of side hustle, something that’s going to allow me to still have the flexibility in my schedule to audition.'”

She continued, “I went to London, and everyone had these last extensions, and I couldn’t think of one person in my circle back in LA that had last extensions…So I took the course, and I wasn’t actually that good at first, but I didn’t give up.”

The entrepreneur took her skills back to Los Angeles. After just a few short months of pushing her business on Instagram, she did Christina Milian’s lashes. When the singer praised her on social media, her business took off. She went from running around L.A. doing house calls, to renting a room, to eventually owning her own shop.

Palmer ends the video by revealing that she is also releasing her own line of lash products soon, and is also looking to open more locations. Seems that Kylie’s BFF is a #BossBabe just like her.
