Yris Palmer: 10 Things We Learned From Kylie Jenner's BFF's 'Get to Know Me' Video
When Kylie Jenner makes a new friend, it's like we all make a new friend! One of our most recent acquaintances is Yris Palmer, and luckily for us, she uploaded a "Get to Know Me" video on YouTube earlier this month. The vlog below consists of her answering questions that her friends had texted her, which are helpful in her new fans getting to know her just a bit better.
So, here's 10 things we learned about Yris.
1. She's a Taurus
Yris said she is the quintessential Taurus, admitting to being super stubborn. Though Kylie is a Leo, Yris claimed she happens to be friends with many people who share the same sign. It must be a group of go-getters!
2. She's 29
Born on was born on May 10, 1990, Yris is 29. She was sure to express how crazy she thought it was in her video that she's almost 30.
3. She was born in Los Angeles
Yris was born and raised in Los Angeles. Fun fact: she says she identifies as an "Angelena," which is basically someone who is a native of LA like herself. She went to high school in West Hollywood and was a cheerleader.
4. Her ethnic background
Yris is Salvadorian on both sides of her family, as her parents came to Los Angeles as immigrants. She speaks English and Spanish fluently. She also revealed she has an older brother and sister. Yris' niece from her brother actually lives with her during the week, so she promised we'll see lots of that little cutie on her channel.
5. Yris has a career in eyelash extensions
Yris is an entrepreneur and owns an eyelash extension company called Star Lash. She recently had a product launch, where friends such as Kylie and even Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble stopped by to show their support.
6. She's a mother
Yris has a two-year-old daughter named Ayla who is seriously the cutest little baby girl ever.
7. The way her friends would describe her
Yris said she thinks the three words her friends would describe her as are charismatic, stylish, and down to earth.
8. Where She Sees Herself in 10 Years
Yris said she definitely sees herself having more kids in 10 years time, wanting four total. She also sees herself being a "bigger boss," with Star Lash having more stores. She then said she wants to start giving back, especially with underprivileged kids.
9. Her biggest inspiration
Yris shared that her biggest inspiration is her daughter, explaining she makes her want to work hard and and set a good example. She also said one of her biggest values is good karma, which she sees as putting out what you want to get back.
10. Yris' favorite clothing brand
Yris doesn't actually have a favorite clothing brand, explaining that her style is really diverse. Her favorite type, however, is vintage, and she'll mix and match items from there.
