VIDEO: Rihanna Weighs in 'The Batman' Casting Rumors

Rihanna just got all of our hopes up and then dumped on our dreams with a recent Instagram post. It all started when the Fenty mogul posted a video of her boots and captioned it with, “Bat-mobile, but make it fashion.”

Fans got insanely excited that Rihanna might be hinting at the possibility she will play a part, possibly Poison Ivy, in the upcoming Matt Reeves film The Batman.

One fan commented on the post above, "People gon go crazy because you said Bat mobile and you’re rumored to be playing Poison Ivy. It's me I'm people."

But according to NME, Rihanna later told Entertainment Tonight that we got it all wrong. “No, that has nothing to do with Poison Ivy,” she clarified. “That [post] has a lot to do with Batman [because] I have separate obsessions. I have a bigger obsession with Poison Ivy. I’m just being honest.”

Rihanna also added that her love for Poison Ivy impacted her hair choice, explaining, “And yeah, I dyed my hair red because of Uma Thurman in the original.”

While we won't see Rihanna as Poison Ivy, The Batman is already promising to be a huge success. Fans are very excited and interested to see Robert Pattinson take on the iconic Caped Crusader role. The DC film is due to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
