The final trailer for Marvel's Black Widow has arrived. According to Screen Rant, the first movie in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. The film follows Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff on a solo adventure that forces her to contend with her past, bringing her back together with the family she left behind.

With an impressive supporting cast that includes David Harbour, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz, Black Widow has been highly anticipated for Marvel fans, especially for those seeking closure for the character after her heartbreaking demise in Avengers: Endgame.

The film also introduces a new villain into the mix. The final trailer delves deeper into the plot than its predecessors, revealing that Taskmaster, whose identity remains a secret, has taken control of the Red Room and is somehow coercing its recruits to fight against their will. Just like the comic book counterpart of the character, the MCU's Taskmaster has acquired their skills by studying and replicating other superheroes. In the promo, the villain can be seen watching security footage of Natasha's hallway fight from Iron Man 2, using Black Panther's fighting style against Harbour's Red Guardian, utilizing a shield like Captain America, and wielding a bow and arrow like Hawkeye. Seems like Taskmaster is a quick—and terrifying—study!

Fans on Twitter are so excited at Taskmaster's appearance.

Hopefully, the Natasha-centric film will start off Phase 4 of the MCU with a bang. Black Widow is in theaters May 1.
