'Venom 2' Cinematographer Confirms Woody Harrelson's Return as Carnage

While the first Venom was not exactly a critical success, the film did break box office records, so it's no surprise that Venom 2 is in the making. The two obvious returning cast members are Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams, but fans were curious about the possible reappearance of Woody Harrelson.
Viewers will remember the post-credits scene where Eddie Brock visits the serial killer Cletus Kasady, a.k.a. Carnage, played by Harrelson. The scene was an obvious set up for a sequel, so fans have just been waiting for the actor's return to be confirmed by Sony.
Yes, as we all presumed, Woody Harrelson is indeed returning as Carnage for Venom 2. https://t.co/K7OA1521an pic.twitter.com/l5C2fhfLcE

But it looks like Venom 2's cinematographer Robert Richardson just accidentally confirmed it. According to ScreenRant, Richardson shared in an interview with Collider:
"I would say yes anyway to [director] Andy [Serkis] just because I would say yes to Andy, but I also think it’s a great… I think it’s unexplored yet, and it’s going to explode, and this film, I think, will help it explode, because you have a remarkable central character with Venom, but now you’ve got Woody Harrelson, who’s going to obviously make his own little entrance here, and we’ll see what else comes in with the Sony Marvel collaboration. I look forward to it. It’s a massive change for me, but I’m excited. I think Hardy is one of our best."
This quote may not function as official confirmation, but Richardson seems confident in his words that we'll be seeing Harrelson again in Venom 2. The sequel does not have a release date yet.
