People around the world were devastated when Kobe Byrant and his daughter Gianna died in a tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, CA along with seven other people on Jan. 26, 2020. Gianna was just 13. Today, just over three months after the fatal accident, Vanessa Bryant took to social media to commemorate what would have been her daughters 14th birthday.

As reported by E! News, Vanessa posted a colorful photo of her daughter on Instagram along with a caption honoring her late daughter. "Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna," she wrote. "Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever. I miss you so much everyday. I wish I could wake up and have you here with me. I miss your smile, your hugs and your giggles. I miss EVERYTHING about YOU, Gigi. I LOVE YOU so much!!!!!!!" The post is enough to bring a tear to anyone's eye. No parent should have to lose their child so young, especially in an accident so horrific.

Kobe and Gianna, as well as seven other passengers, were flying from Calabasas to a basketball game at Kobe's Mamba Sports Academy in Newbury Park when the helicopter crashed. All nine passengers on board were killed. Our thoughts are with Vanessa today as she remembers and celebrates her daughter. May Gianna and Kobe rest in peace.
