Every so often, a tragedy of unthinkable proportions takes the lives of our heroes. On Jan. 26, the world’s heart broke when news hit that retired NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, died alongside seven other people in a helicopter accident in Calabasas, California.

This terrible incident has devastated the lives of both celebrities and civilians, with countless people from around the globe sending their love to the Bryant family. Included in this long list is the Kardashian-Jenner family, who took time to publicly mourn the loss of their friend.

Kim Kardashian posted a picture of the late 41-year-old star kissing Gianna on the head, along with the caption:

“My heart is so heavy. No one should ever experience what the families involved are going through. This has affected us all so much but I cannot begin to imagine what Vanessa is feeling losing her husband and her baby girl. I cry just thinking about it. I am praying for the Bryant family, the Altobelli family and the families of all who perished in this unthinkable tragedy. Rest In Peace Legend.”

Momager Kris Jenner made two posts for the lost Bryants, and dedicated the caption of the second photo directly to Kobe’s wife of nearly 20 years, Vanessa Bryant, writing, “I don’t have the words. Every ounce of my heart is with you, Vanessa.”

Kylie Jenner also posted a sweet selfie of Kobe and Gianna, along with the caption, “at loss for words right now. praying for this beautiful family.” Kendall Jenner wrote a very emotional post, sharing a series of photos and the following passage:

“sadly, i never personally knew you, but knowing i’m capable of all these emotions for someone i only knew from a far makes me feel more human than ever. you had the magical ability of bringing people together, through sports and through your soul. we feel you so heavily today, i know you can feel us too. rest peacefully Kobe, Gigi and the rest of the passengers we lost today. my heart truly goes out to all the families. give a big hug to the people you love today and always.”

Just like the Kardashian-Jenners, we too send our deepest condolences to the Bryant family during this awful tragedy.
