Coronavirus has caused disruption, at the very least, for people all around the world, with millions of people learning and working from home. While tensions are high as more and more workers are confined to their homes in the wake of office shutdowns and imposed quarantines, the virus has spawned a wave of WFH memes that have taken over the internet.

Although it may seem insensitive (looking at you, boomers), the memes are actually a product of levity. Between hand sanitizer shortages, business and university closures, and the implementation of stringent safety measures, people are anxious and in need of distraction. Coronavirus memes appear to be the solution in this tense and frightening time.

In the chaos, ComicBook.com reports that Joker director Todd Phillips has decided to join in on the fun. He shared his very own Coronavirus/Joaquin Phoenix post on his Instagram page, which shows Arthur Fleck, clown makeup on fleek, with a medical mask covering his nose and mouth. See the post below.

The pandemic was officially acknowledged by the World Health Organization this week and many are wondering what to do to remain healthy. With Coronavirus looming, Phillips is advocating for social distancing and practicing safe habits. “Crazy times. Stay safe everyone…,” Phillips captioned the photo, perhaps speaking as the Joker. “That said, I’ve been practicing social distancing for years. It works." With production on some upcoming movie releases halted, at least Joker is available to rent on Amazon. Additionally, you can check out these awesome deals here for Sling TV to catch up on all your favorite shows and movies. Stay healthy everyone!
