‘The Mandalorian’ Actor Jake Cannavale Calls ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ a ‘Failure’
By Rachel Reed

In case you missed it, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been getting less than stellar reviews from the critics. If you're wondering what those connected to the franchise think about the flick, wonder no more.
E! News reports that The Mandalorian actor Jake Cannavale, who plays Toro Calican in the Disney+ series, shared some very unfiltered feedback over Instagram this week.
A candid Cannavale said on his Instagram Story after watching the latest film, "I'm in the Star Wars universe now!!! So surely I can't speak ill of Episode IX right???... WRONG." He continued, "Rise of Skywalker was hands down the worst Star Wars movie. An absolute f**king failure... Rise of Skywalker (btw dumbass title) was worse than Phantom Menace AND Last Jedi combined. Fight me."
One fan was quick to throw the first punch, insinuating that he might've just been salty for not getting cast in the film. Cannavale responded, according to E! News, saying:
"Honestly, I think I'd be more mad. Obviously I can't speak on behalf of the cast. To some actors this is just a job and maybe they're just happy to be working. To which I say more power to them. Also, maybe they f**king loved the new Star Wars! In which case that's f**king dope that they got to work on something they truly got to enjoy."
Many have taken to social media to throw shade at the actor.
Ah, Jake Cannavale, an actor that no one even knows who played the worst character in The Mandalorian so far gives his opinion on The Rise of Skywalker. I respect his opinion, but it's clear this guy said this for some attention. https://t.co/WWSqDh5e6N

Regardless of his less than flattering stance, The Rise of Skywalker isn't being received too badly with fans. Maybe the ending did the saga justice after all? Catch it while in theaters and decide for yourself!
