While some Teen Mom OG fans were excited at the new addition in Teen Mom 3 alum Mackenzie McKee, clearly not everyone was thrilled. Reportedly, the numbers have dropped even more since she joined this week.

Mackenzie, who has created her fair share of controversy over the years on the internet for her sometimes questionable parenting, joined Teen Mom OG for the Monday, Aug. 5 episode. According to RadarOnline, 693,000 viewers turned to MTV to watch, which is a considerable drop from the previous week, which saw 773,000 viewers.

While it might seem that Mackenzie is the root of the numbers dropping, it's important to note that the series has continued to see a decrease in viewers this season as a whole. And of course, ex Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham thinks it has to do with her departure.

Last month, the 28-year-old TV personality even called for the show to be cancelled. "No one is believing the fake story lines," she stated. "These other parents are super fans of the OG girls and have been fans, planned pregnancy is not what Teen Mom OG was about and now it’s okay to keep planning pregnancies to get on TV? Sad mainly for the children."

We don't necessarily agree with Farrah, but it is alarming to see such drops in viewers for the fan-favorite MTV series. We'll have to see in the coming weeks if Mackenzie helps the ratings increase, or if the show might just be a goner.
