'Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie McKee Threatens Suicide Following Online Bullying

The internet can be a scary place, and unfortunately Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee learned that the hard way earlier this week when she posted something online many felt was inappropriate. Although she seemingly was trying to make a joke, it definitely backfired and fans were angry to say the least.

Taking to social media, Mackenzie posted a lengthy status trying to be a relatable mom, telling her followers about the chaotic day she had with her kids. Among the many questionable stories she told came one very disturbing one, in which she claimed a ferret might've died at the hands of her kids.

We think she was just exaggerating to be funny, but clearly it didn't sit well with Teen Mom fans. She received comments criticizing her parenting, and even apparent death threats. Obviously, Mackenzie was upset by the terrible reception, and eventually took to Twitter to share a disturbing cry for help.

"I’m sorry. I can’t handle anymore. Today was my breaking point. I’ve done my best. And with everyone telling me I should just kill myself, maybe your [sic] right," she wrote. She has since deleted her Twitter account.

Her alarming message caught the attention of her fans, who defended the star online. Of course, she made a mistake with her status, but she certainly doesn't deserve death threats over it.

Mackenzie has broken silence since the tweet, telling Radar Online:

"I’m ok. People can only tell me to kill myself so many times before I break. It is blowing my mind that people are doing that. It was like not even one second, my son tried to grab it, I ran across and took it away and gently put it back into the basket. And now I’m getting told to kill myself, I’m getting told I shouldn’t be a mom.”

“You cannot cyber bully people to the extent that I have been cyber bullied today," she added.

The comments Mackenzie received are honestly just unacceptable, no matter what her child may or may not have done. People criticizing her obviously weren't there, and shouldn't be attacking her simply for a Facebook status. Even if you think she's a bad mom, she shouldn't be told to take her own life. We hope she has a strong support system to help her get through this.
