It has been a big year for television, and an even bigger year for streaming services like Netflix. As 2019 winds down and new services like Disney+ pop up, one can be left wondering what shows on the OG streaming service are still knocking ratings out of the park. It turns out, quite a few of them.

Insider took some time to compile a list of the 20 most-watched series on Netflix. Unsurprisingly, Stranger Things walked away with the gold medal, not only as the most watched, but also as the most talked about show on the service. Who doesn't like to gab about the Hawkins gang, am I right?!

The comic book universes also earned a few spots on list. Lucifer from DC Comics was ranked #2, while Marvel's The Punisher earned the fifth seat.

There was also a lot of girl power on this year's list. For example, Orange is the New Black, a mostly female-staffed show based on the memoir by Piper Kerman, took home the silver medal. Also, Marvel’s Jessica Jones starring Krysten Ritter was ranked #7, and GLOW, which follows an all-female wrestling group, came in last place.

In addition, Grace and Frankie, starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, came in at #15 and was recently renewed for a seventh season, making it Netflix's longest-running original series.

Some other fan-favorites included 13 Reasons Why starring Katherine Langford coming in at #4, and Queer Eye starring our favorite "Fab 5" (Tan France, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, and Jonathan Van Ness), coming in at #17.

I’d say this is a pretty epic lineup, and definitely another great year for Netflix to hang their hat on. To check out the whole list, click here.
