Just ahead of the release of his new film IT: Chapter 2 last week, Finn Wolfhard spoke with the Los Angeles Times and discussed all things horror, Stranger Things, and his upcoming movie The Goldfinch. Specifically for the Netflix series, the 16-year-old actor shared some insight on what he expects to see for the as-yet-announced fourth season.

And if you've been wondering what the future for Eleven and Mike would be like after El moved away with the Byers family at the end of Season 3, Wolfhard sadly isn't too sure they'll make it. But it seems like he is fully rooting for them. When asked if their romantic relationship could "survive," the actor answered honestly:

"Oh, my God, I don’t know. In between seasons, all the cast kind of forms their own little conspiracies on what happens to their characters, but I don’t know. I think their bond at this point is so prominent that I don’t know if it can just end because she moves. There’s got to be some more development for sure."

While the show's creators, the Duffer brothers, have been tight-lipped on a possible fourth season, we don't see any reason why the Netflix favorite wouldn't continue. But as for the characters we ship together, anything could happen!
