'Stranger Things' Prequel Comic Will Introduce Readers to Test Subject Six
By Natalie Zamora

The first season of Netflix’s Stranger Things no doubt pulled viewers in with the fan-favorite Eleven, a test subject who first appeared in the series with a shaved head and an appetite for murder. Who wouldn’t love a fictional creepy child like that? By Season 2, we learned way more about where Millie Bobby Brown’s character came from, and was even introduced to a girl named Kali, a.k.a. Eight, a fellow test subject from Eleven’s past. While we’re not sure what exactly the third season will bring, we thankfully have a few intriguing tie-in comics and novels to hold us over while we wait.
The newest announced comic from Dark Horse is a prequel to the TV show, according to Entertainment Weekly, which will introduce readers to a new test subject, appropriately named Six. Stranger Things: Six is set to follow the young girl, who is also known as Francine. Like the other test subjects, Francine has a set of powers, with hers involving precognition. The visions she sees will allow her to make life-changing decisions.

Written by Jody Houser and illustrated by Edgar Salazar, the first of four issues of Stranger Things: Six goes on sale on May 29. This may seem like a long while for now, but considering we have to wait until July 4 for the third season of the show, we’ll take what we can get.
