'Star Wars' Twitter Account Might've Just Dropped a Major Teaser for 'Episode IX'
By Olivia Montine

For fans of the Star Wars franchise, the beginning of 2019 wasn't just another year--the changing of the calendar meant we were officially entering the year in which Episode 9 would be released.
With no teasers, trailers, or title yet, fans are getting impatient. However, a tweet over the weekend from an official UK Star Wars account seemed to imply that some of fans' worries may be put to rest in the near future.

The clip features Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker in the prequels, and Harrison Ford as our favorite sarcastic pilot, Han Solo, in the original series. Both clips have the actors saying, "This is where the fun begins," and the tweet is captioned, "The calm before the galactic storm..." With all this cryptic messaging, its no surprise fans have taken this content and are now expecting something big.
A lot of fans are wondering if this means the release of a teaser or title, especially since the tweet came just one day after it had been announced that principal photography on the film was complete. However, if we're following the pattern of releasing marketing materials that Lucasfilm has followed in the past, it would be reasonable to assume that we won't get the teaser until the annual Star Wars Celebration in April, and the wait for a full-length trailer may be even longer. The official trailer for The Last Jedi wasn't released on YouTube until October of 2017, just two months before the film's release.
The tweet has anxious fans scratching their heads. Star Wars: Episode IX is slated for release this December.
