Look out, Marvel! Star Wars is coming for your crown!

The final installment of the Skywalker Saga, The Rise of Skywalker, has hit the ground running for pre-sale tickets. The film doesn't hit theaters until December, but that hasn't stopped fans from securing their spots at the theater already.

According to Deadline, Atom Tickets credits The Rise of Skywalker with outselling Avengers: Endgame in pre-sales in the first hour by a whopping 45%. The pre-sale opening up was advertised along with the final trailer which debuted last night during the Monday Night Football halftime show. Of course with such a huge audience, the film garnered a lot of attention, not to mention diehard fans tuning in just for the trailer alone.

The Rise of Skywalker will see the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker (most likely as a Force Ghost), and even and the late Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, through unused footage from both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. The film will also feature Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver as Rey and Kylo Ren, respectively, as fans try to figure out the fate of their complicated relationship.

The mega franchise unveiled a brand new poster for the film on Twitter with a link to Fandango, so fans have had basically every opportunity to start pre-ordering their tickets in preparation for the Dec. 20, 2019 premiere.
