In less than two weeks, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released, ending 42 years of storytelling, as well as the current trilogy. While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to a saga that has captured the hearts of generations, it is also exciting for Rey actor Daisy Ridley, who is looking forward to a new chapter in her career. But while it could be easy to typecast her as a hero for the foreseeable future (she does it so well, after all), Ridley actually wants to switch up the pace.

ComicBook.com reports that the 27-year-old actor recently sat down with Variety and revealed that she would like to do a horror film. She explained, "Oh, see, I’m terrified of horror films, but I like them. So I’d like to be in one." Though she is down to take on a spooky movie, she says she would need some support from friends and family in the process. She continued:

"But I think it would also, like, screw me up a bit. I feel like you’d have to be living with your family to exorcise the bad juju when you left set. The one thing I can’t see myself doing is comedy because I don’t think I’m a funny person — but I could be the straight person. Also, you know, it’s time to be brave. So, I’ll go for it!"

Though it would be tough to picture Rey as an ax murderer, with Ridley’s talents, I’m sure she will do well in any role.
