Ever since that first encounter between Rey and Kylo Ren in the interrogation room in The Force Awakens, fans have been shipping the two characters hard. But Daisy Ridley herself isn't about it.

Ridley revealed at Star Wars Celebration that she "can't get behind" a romantic relationship between the two in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. “I do know about Reylo,” Ridley told Steele Wars at the Celebration after being asked about fans' ship name for the two characters.

“I don’t know how I feel about it, because everyone’s talking about the toxic thing of a relationship when it’s essentially emotional [abuse]," Ridley continued. "It’s a tricky road. I do feel like, deep down, Kylo thinks what he’s doing is right and he doesn’t think he’s wrong, but he has also killed so many people. So I can’t really get behind it, no, in a personal way.”

But that doesn't mean that a possible relationship won't happen. A reported reliable source recently alleged that Kylo Ren will fall in love with Rey in the next film, and that he will battle with the light and the dark side of the Force.

“Well, maybe there’s redemption, who knows? Maybe we explore it in the film,” Ridley teased.

Since the title of Episode IX was released last week, fans have started to assume that Kylo Ren will take back is name as Skywalker and find redemption in the final installment.

So for all those Reylo fans out there, there's still hope!
