Shawn Mendes Denies Relationship With Camila Cabello is a Publicity Stunt

Shawn Mendes was spotted at the LAX Airport this week, and TMZ paparazzi got a chance to ask the singer about his relationship with Camila Cabello.

The reporter, unsurprisingly, got right to the point and asked the "Lost in Japan" singer about all the PDA between him and his collaborator. Mendes laughed it off and said, "It's a little bit of a joke," referring to the makeout video he posted to Instagram earlier this month.

When asked if they've crossed the milestone of "meeting the parents," Mendes said he's known Cabello's folks for "a long time."

The next question was about the ongoing rumor that Shawn and Camila's relationship is simply a publicity stunt, to which he gave a straight response: "Definitely not a publicity stunt." When asked if they're saying "I love you" yet, Mendes refused to answer. Some things might be too private to report!

Last month, Shawn had the sweetest answer to fans as to what was going on between the two singers, explaining, "Honestly, I wanna say I wanna talk to you guys about this stuff but it’s not just me in the relationship! There’s another person involved. I can’t say things that I feel. It’s not just me deciding you know?”

So the couple remains pretty private about their personal lives...fair enough!
