Richard Madden Spotted Filming on Set of 'The Eternals'

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s… Robb Stark?

Pictures surfaced this week of Game of Thrones star Richard Madden on set of Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie, The Eternals. Madden is taking on the role of Ikaris for the highly-anticipated film, and because director Chloé Zhao is filming many of the scenes in public places, eagle-eyed fans were finally able to snap a few photos of the 33-year-old actor’s newest character.

ComicBook.com reports that the Bodyguard actor looks to be flying in the pictures. In the Marvel comics, flight is one of Ikaris’ many supernatural abilities. Though the character is usually in a very colorful ensemble, Madden wears all black for this particular sequence as seen below.

Madden isn’t the only GoT alum part of the project. News broke last year that Jon Snow actor Kit Harington was also joining the star-studded cast as Dane Whitman, a.k.a. Black Knight. Additional set photos were also caught earlier this week of Harington filming a romantic scene with co-star Gemma Chan, who is playing Sersi. The two are seen kissing in the shot, confirming the relationship between them is making its way from the comic books to the big screen.

While set pics are a great way to hold MCU fans over for now, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the final product, set to be released Nov. 2020.
