Fans of The Office have been begging for a reboot of the hit show, but in Dwight Schrute's world, that probably wouldn't include a happy appearance from Jim Halpert.

Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight on the long-running NBC sitcom, said if he could kill off one member of Dunder Mifflin in a potential reboot, he'd have no doubts on his pick. "It would have to be Jim. Absolutely Jim," he told Good Morning America in Aug. 2018.

His response came after John Krasinski and Ed Helms both paid visits to the show, and shared their own answers to the question. For his part, Krasinski said he'd kill off Pam Beesly, while Helms shared a more vicious answer. According to the star, he'd kill off everybody but Andy, a.k.a. his own character.

You can watch Rainn's interview with GMA below. His comments about The Office can be heard around the 5:45 mark.

Meanwhile, fans are still wondering what's going on with the talked-about reboot of The Office.

In May, showrunner Greg Daniels spoke out on the possibility, however, he didn't seem too keen on the idea that it could be pulled off. Considering the cast is so big, he doesn't think it would work the way people anticipate. "I think this question came up when the cast of Will & Grace reunited, but there's only four of them, and the people involved with The Office are all doing so many different things, so to be able to reassemble them, I think, in that kind of fashion is much more difficult," he told Digital Spy.

At least fans know that if a reboot of sorts ever does happen, the actors behind our favorite characters have some pretty creative storylines up their sleeves.
