Pete Davidson Returns to Instagram With Announcement Nearly Two Months After Ariana Grande Split

While most millennials these days turn to social media to cope after a breakup, Pete Davidson instead chose live television as his medium.

Over the past few weeks, Davidson has used his time on Saturday Night Live to speak about his split with Ariana Grande. From jokes about moving back in with his mother, to announcing that Ariana is “a wonderful, strong person,” Davidson hasn’t kept quiet about his failed engagement.

His chattiness on the weekly television show is in stark contrast to his social media activity, where he has demonstrated absolute radio silence. Pete wiped his Instagram page clean days after he split with his fiancé, and has refrained from posting since then.

That was until Wednesday, when Pete returned to the land of Instagram with a big announcement.

With a few pictures featuring him and his costars, Pete announced he will be at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for his upcoming film, Big Time Adolescence. The comedy film follows a suburban boy’s journey with his “charismatic college dropout” of a best friend.

Davidson also caught fans attention by deleting his Instagram page in July, according to US Weekly. The Saturday Night Live star announced via his Story that he wasn’t being “cryptic,” he simply didn’t want to be on social media anymore.

The comedian didn’t stay off for long as he returned two months later with a video of himself filming a paparazzi. “Hey, how are you? How are you guys doing? You guys look great,” Pete said in the video. “Oh, welcome home.”

We don’t know if this post marks Pete’s complete return to social media, but we’re glad to see he’s catching up in the “who won the breakup?” race between him and Ari.
