Pete Davidson has rejoined Instagram just days after Kanye West used the platform to publicly insult and threaten the comedian, who is currently dating his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.

Pete Davidson's verified Instagram page - under the handle "@pmd" - went live on Wednesday, according to Page Six. It currently has zero posts and zero accounts on its "following" list.

The Saturday Night Live star, 28, has had a complicated relationship with social media and cited his mental health as the reason for originally deleting his Instagram in mid-2018.

He penned a statement to his fanbase at the time, writing:

"No there's nothing wrong. No nothing happened. No there's nothing cryptic about anything. I just don't wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or on any social media platform. The internet is an evil place and it doesn't make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f***ing lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I'm sure I'll be back at some point. your neighborhood goon, Pete."
