It seems more and more information is now surfacing about the highly-anticipated DC film, The Batman.

So far, we know that Robert Pattinson is playing the Caped Crusader, an announcement which was made back in May, and more recently, it came out that Zoë Kravitz has landed the role of Catwoman. There had been rumors swirling that Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen were in talks for the Riddler and the Penguin, respectively, however news hit this week that the actors had reportedly turned the roles down.

And now, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Paul Dano has been cast to play the Riddler in the upcoming film. The 35-year-old actor is known for various critically acclaimed parts, such as in There Will Be Blood, Escape at Dannemora and Little Miss Sunshine. In 2016, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his supporting role in Love & Mercy.

Fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news left and right, with the general consensus seeming to be total support for Dano in his next role.

The Batman is set for a June 25, 2021 release.
