It was announced this week that Big Little Lies star Zoë Kravitz would be taking on the role of femme fatale Selena Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman, in Matt Reeves' upcoming film The Batman. Fans could not be more thrilled with the casting choice, as Kravitz has proven her action chops in not only the HBO series, but also the Fantastic Beasts franchise, as well as in the Divergent films.

And it seems that fans aren’t the only ones happy to hear the news. Anne Hathaway, who was the last to don the leather cat ears in Christopher Nolan’s 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises, took to Instagram today to congratulate the 30-year-old actress, ComicBook.com reports.

The Hustle star posted a picture of Kravitz with the caption, “The biggest congrats to @zoeisabellakravitz on landing the role of a lifetime. Well, one life anyway…Enjoy the ride, Selena #Catwoman.”

Kravitz is joining a long list of iconic actors who have tackled the gorgeous, ass-kicking role of Selena, including Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Halle Berry. She reportedly won the highly-coveted role over Hobbs & Shaw star Eiza González.

Hathaway wasn't the only celebrity to give a warm-hearted congratulations to the newest Catwoman this week. Her stepfather, Aquaman star Jason Momoa, and her husband, Karl Glusman, both posted their love and excitement for Kravitz on Instagram.

Needless to say, with Robert Pattinson taking on the role of Batman, and Kravitz playing his on-again, off-again nemesis/lover, things are going to be get pretty saucy on the silver screen.
