Oscar Isaac starred as Resistance fighter pilot Poe Dameron in the most recent Star Wars trilogy, but it looks like three movies in a galaxy far, far away is his limit. The actor recently appeared on a Deadline panel alongside director Paul Schrader to promote their upcoming film The Card Counter, and of course Star Wars was discussed. When you've acted in such an iconic franchise, it can be difficult to get fans to stop associating you with the character you've taken on. Some people are going to remember Isaac as Poe Dameron just like they always remember Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter.

According to Deadline, Isaac believes that Dameron's storyline concluded with The Rise of Skywalker. “I enjoyed the challenge of those films and working with a very large group of incredible artists and actors, prop makers, set designers, and all that was really fun,” the Golden Globe winner said, adding that making blockbuster films is not his goal as an actor.

“It’s not really what I set out to do. What I set out to do was to make handmade movies, and to work with people that inspire me,” said Isaac. However, he gave one hilarious reason for why he would ever return to Star Wars. "Probably, but who knows," he said when asked if he's done with the franchise. "If I need another house or something."
