Nick Cannon Throws Shade at Travis Scott for Having Baby With Kylie Jenner

Nick Cannon isn’t happy with Travis Scott’s decision to play at the Super Bowl LII. Cannon recently appeared on BET’s Raq Rants and discussed the fact that he doesn’t think Travis is making decisions with black culture in mind. It turns out that the television host not only wanted to call out Scott's music career moves, however, but also for having a baby with Kylie Jenner.

"It's more about truly having integrity to who you are in your music, your art form, the people you choose to interact with, the people you choose to procreate with," Cannon said, according to Pop Culture. "That decision [to have a baby with Jenner] wasn't for the culture, but we not mad at you."

When host Raquel Harper pointed out Cannon has dated white women in the past, he wasn’t about to deny the fact. "I love white women, let's set the record straight,” Cannon said. “But that's the thing, it's cultural equity at the end of the day."

It was officially announced last week that Travis took the controversial Super Bowl gig, on the condition that the National Football League partner on a $500,000 donation to the social justice group Dream Corps. This charitable move was not enough to earn the respect of Cannon, however.

On the other hand, Outkast’s Big Boi, who is also set to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, avoided receiving any negative comments from Cannon.

After proclaiming he was “team Kaepernick all day,” Cannon explained, “We’re not mad at Big Boi for being on the Super Bowl. He’s for the people. But someone like Travis Scott, he’s got to walk gingerly.”
